Environmental Compliance
Our finish processes meet or exceed all pollution control standards and regulations.

Tote Cart is the only vertically integrated cart manufacturer who has in-house control over the quality of both our nickel chrome finish and E-coat finish and their environmental impact.

E-coat / ToteSeal
Electrocoat (E-coat) is our method of painting which uses electrical current to uniformly deposit paint. Our automotive grade, state-of-the-art E-coat process first involves immersion cleaning, zinc phosphate and electro-coating that provides unparalleled cleaning, corrosion protection, adhesion, longevity and appearance.

After long-baking the E-coat, a customer selected, color tinted polyester is sprayed over the E-coated surface. This ToteSeal coating (up to 8-10 mils thick) is also long-baked to produce a very tough, resilient surface that insures extended cart life and color permanence.

Nickel Chrome / Clear Coat
The key to our long-life plating are the 8 stages of cleaning that provides an ultra-clean surface for the nickel chrome process. Our specially designed, cell divided nickel tanks insure evenly deposited nickel. Five tenths of an inch of nickel chrome thickness is maintained to insure good coverage even in wire intersections.

After plating, a clear polyester powder is sprayed over the nickel chrome surface. It then is long-baked to insure a smooth, protective finish.

This durable clear polyester will not power wash off and stays clear under the most extreme conditions. And the extra corrosion protection effectively doubles the life of the coat.
